Captain Ray Murray’s Prize Day is fast approaching.The qualifier takes place on August 14th and the final on August 20th.

We wish the Captain and his family a very successful day.

The BRS will remain open until Thursday 11^th August at 8.00pm – after which a draw will take place which will be posted on the BRS on Friday 12^th August. Members may not make any changes once the draw is made and should seriously consider the consequences of a no show especially for their playing partners. Should a Member have to withdraw from the competition for a legitimate reason, please contact a member of the Handicap Committee as soon as is possible so that it can adjust the draw where necessary.

Format for the Captain’s Qualifier

• 18 hole stroke play off the White Tees.
• The top 40 players will qualify.
• Handicap indices for qualifiers will remain the same for the Captain’s final round on Saturday 20^th August.
• Qualifiers will start in reverse order.
•  Captain’s final round to commence at 11.30am on August 20^th.

Programme for Captain’s Day – Saturday August 20^th:

7.00am – 10.00am:               Men’s non-qualifier competition, 18 hole stableford – White Tees. Competition will include nearest the blue line and nearest the pin.

10.00am – 11.00am:            Captain’s Prize to the Ladies, 18 hole stableford – yellow tees

11.00am – 11.30am:            Captain’s Guests, 18 Hole Stableford – white tees.

11.30am – 2.00pm:              Final Round Captain’s Prize. (40 Qualifiers)

8.00pm – 9.30pm:   Captain’s Address and Presentation of Prizes

Prizes will be presented for outstanding medal winners, Vice Captain’s prize, Super Sunday’s winners and Captains Day prizes. If you are a prize winner, please be presentor have a nominate someone to collect your prize.

Dinner will consist of a choice of main courses and will be served throughout the day in the Golf Club’s Gulliver’s Lounge.

Below are Captain’s Day costs for Midweek Members playing on Friday 19^th August and should be paid direct to the Golf Shop on the day.

Midweek Member:    €15.00            1 Round of Golf (Friday 19^th August) + Dinner (Saturday)

Midweek Member:    €5.00              Golf only (Friday 19^th August)

Guest:                            €15.00              Dinner only (Saturday)

The Captain and the Men’s Committee,  wish everybody a great day(s) golf and the Captain hopes is looking forward to meeting all the members and their guests throughout the day. Music will be provided to add to the social event with lots of dancing, craic and a few drinks.
