Despite our best efforts, Knightsbrook Golf Club succumbed to Dundalk Golf Club in the final of the Newsam Cup at Royal Tara Golf Club on Saturday the 3rd of September. Despite the atrocious weather of the night before and early morning, the course was prepared excellently. Well done to all who participated and to manager Brian O Neill assisted by John Tobin.

The team was: David Maguire – Alan Codd, Brian O Neill – Eamon O Brien, Billy Tyndall – Rodney Trenwith, Des Farrelly – Joseph McGrane, Thomas Renehan – Joseph Heavy.  Subs: Leonard Flynn, Seán Ó Díomasaigh, Gerald Golds and Dominic Martin.
