Captains’ Dinner and Prizegiving at Knightsbrook Golf Club.
A large crowd attended the Annual Captains’ Dinner and Prizegiving at Knightsbrook Golf Club hosted by Captains, Alan Codd and Marie Gordon. Members, families and friends gathered to honour our captains and celebrate a great year of activities. The winner of the Captain’s Prize was Colin Rayfus on 147.

This was Colin’s first time winning the coveted prize and he thanked the Captain, his committee and all involved in Knightsbrook Golf Club. He complimented The Proprietor, Peter Igoe and all the staff for the wonderful condition of the course. The Captain was joined by his wife, Janice and son Fiachra Cronin O’Brien.

Both captains, Alan and Marie addressed the gathering and thanked their committees for their work during the year. Particular mention was given to the Proprietor, Peter Igoe and his staff for the condition of the course throuhjout the year. “Despite Storm Betty’s best efforts, the course was in pristine condition for the final round of the competition” the Captain said. Music was by Roughwater and all enjoyed a great night of music and dance.
Monthly medals, the President’s Prize, the Vice Captain’s Prize, Club championships and Scratch Cup presentations were made throughout the dinner and the master of ceremonies for the night was Vice Captain, Leonard Flynn.
