Knightsbrook Golf Club’s annual golf, dinner, and prize-giving day took place on Saturday, 13th December. The weather held up for an enjoyable nine-hole scramble, followed by dinner, presentations, lively music, and dance. Captains, Will Murray and Jane Molony, welcomed the guests, members, family and friends to the social afternoon. The captains began proceedings by remembering the families of those who passed away during the year. The first major annual award of the evening went to Club Person of the Year, Mary Higgins, for her hard work and constant availability to the club as a member and as an officer of the ladies’ committee. Mary served as lady captain on two occasions and has held many positions on the committee over the years. Mary’s mother, father, brother and sister were present for the occasion, as was her husband and former Captain Raymond Murray.
