Our Captains’ Drive-In takes place on Sunday 22nd March and celebrates the beginning of our golfing year. Lady Captain Leslie Hamilton and Captain Thomas Conaty, are looking forward to seeing all our members at this important annual event in the club’s year, especially this year as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Members are invited to be at the Clubhouse for approximately 9.30 am, where tea/coffee & scones kindly sponsored by Peter Igoe will be available. The timesheet for Captains’ Drive-In will open this Thursday, 12th March.The schedule for the day will be as follows:
- Captains’ Tree Planting 10.15 am.
- Presentations and speeches on 1st tee
- Captains’ Drive in to celebrate Knightsbrooks 20th anniversary 10:30 am
- Shotgun start, 9-hole mixed scramble competition. (Front nine and Back nine)

Following the golf, lunch will be served in the Terrace Lounge with a choice of chicken or salmon followed by dessert, tea or coffee. A full drinks service will be available during the afternoon at members’ prices. Lunch is scheduled for 2.00 pm and will conclude with the prize presentation to the scramble winners and also the presentation of the winter/spring league prizes.
We are looking forward to a great social day with all our members. There will be no charge for golf members. Lunch is €20, preferably in cash, before golf. Those intending to dine, please register your interest at the shop this weekend, to enable the hotel to estimate numbers.
Members’ guests are also very welcome to join the celebrations. Guests’ lunch will be €30 per person.
