Over 100 members and guests enjoyed the annual Christmas Lunch at Knightsbrook Golf Club and contributed generously to the local St Vincent de Paul Society donating approximately €1200. The lunch followed a very enjoyable shotgun start 9 hole scramble. The annual two’s draw was made during lunch and also a large selection of hampers were presented. Captain Damian McDonnell thanked all members for their support during the year and wished the incoming committees and captains good luck in 2020. Lady Captain Angela Reilly made an emotional speech in which she also wished all incoming officers every good wish for the new year of golf. She received a standing ovation for her contribution to the club over many years and particularly for her many years as Lady Captain.
